Macassar Ebony veneer getting ready to go on a Rock Maple VGO Stave.
Below, forground; 6 x 14 stave in quartersawn Spalted Flame Yellowheart. Background: Michigan Red Oak stave.
Bellow; Zebrawood stave block set rough beveled in and numbered in the order they came off the board. Next step, fit beveling which is the final step before glue up.
Below; Mahogany and Rock Maple 7 x 14 stave shell with seal coats of shellac
Below; A dust-collector hose reviles many layers of saw dust from all different species of woods I cut that day. My son got a kick out of this as he was cleaning up.
